Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

This page describes how cedarandcoast.eu (the "Site") handles data in connection with your use of the website. The Site is a static informational resource and does not operate user accounts, conduct e-commerce or process payments.

Data Controller

The operator of this site is reachable via the contact form on the home page. No postal address or registered company information is published, as this site does not constitute a commercial service requiring mandatory disclosure under Polish or EU consumer protection law.

Cookies

The Site uses a single cookie-equivalent mechanism — browser localStorage — to store your response to the cookie consent banner. The stored value is either "accepted" or "rejected" and is used solely to avoid showing the consent banner on subsequent visits. No third-party cookies are placed by the Site itself.

If you use a browser extension that blocks localStorage, the consent banner will reappear on each visit.

The Site does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising networks or any third-party tracking scripts. The only external resources loaded are Google Fonts (typography), Wikimedia Commons (images) and a Google Fonts CDN. Loading of these resources is subject to the privacy policies of those services.

Contact Form Data

The contact form on the home page is a client-side simulation. Data entered into the form fields (name, email address, phone number and message) is not transmitted to a server, not stored in a database and not sent via email. The form exists for structural completeness. Entering data into it does not result in any processing of personal data by the Site.

Server Logs

Standard web server access logs may record your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This data is retained for a limited period for security and technical purposes and is not used for profiling or marketing.

External Links

The Site contains links to external websites including GBIF, the Encyclopedia of Life and the IUCN Red List. The Site is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Following an external link takes you out of cedarandcoast.eu and the privacy practices of the destination site apply.

Your Rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have rights in relation to personal data processed about you, including the right to access, rectify or erase data. Given the limited data processing described above, the practical application of these rights to this Site is narrow. For any queries, use the contact form on the home page.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the Site's operation. The date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
